Fr. Bryan MassingaleThe Catholic Library Association is excited to announce Fr. Bryan Massingale as the 2018 St. Jerome Award Recipient. Fr. Massingale is a professor of theological and social ethics at Fordham University in New York. He holds the James and Nancy Buckman Chair in Applied Christian Ethics and is the Senior Fellow in Fordham’s Center for Ethics Education. He previously taught at Marquette University, where in 2009 he received that institution's highest award for excellence in teaching. An award-winning teacher, scholar, and activist, he is a leading expert on Catholic social thought and racial justice and is a consultant to numerous faith-based justice organizations. He served as president of the Catholic Theological Society of America and convener of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium. Fr. Massingale will accept this honor live at the Spring 2018 Virtual Convention.
