2015 CLA Annual Convention

The CLA 2015 Annual Conference was held on April 7-9, 2015, in Orlando, FL

The 2015 Regina Medal winner is author Judy Blume who received the award at a luncheon in her honor on April 8, 2015, at the CLA convention. Her books have sold over 85 million copies worldwide and many have been included on the New York Times bestseller list. She has received the Margaret A. Edwards Award for Lifetime Achievement by ALA, the Library of Congress Living Legends Award and the National Book Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. Also at the convention, the Charlotte Decker Memorial Award was given to Jean R. Bostley, SSJ by Annette Thibodeaux, Chair of the HSYALSS.  Sr. Jean presently serves as librarian at St. Joseph Central High School in Pittsfield, MA.  For many years she was a member and leader of the section before moving to the executive director position of CLA.  Throughout her many years with CLA, she has always been a mentor for leaders of the section and has always made significant contributions to the section. For her many years of dedicated service to the HSYALSS she was recognized with the Charlotte Decker Award.
