Fall Virtual Conference: October 22-23, 2020

The Catholic Library Association was excited to hold our sixth virtual conference this fall on October 22-23, 2020.

Our 2020 Fall Virtual Conference was centered around the theme of “Mission-Driven Leadership in Faith-Based Libraries.” We enjoyed having Valerie Schultz, author of award-winning book Overdue: A Dewey Decimal System of Grace from Liturgical Press, give our Keynote Address. We also enjoyed 12 breakout sessions, the John Brubaker Memorial Award Presentation, and a Prayer Service for Departed Members of CLA.

Thank you to all of our speakers for giving presentations that left a lasting and positive impression on our attendees.

Congratulations to our 2019-2020 John Brubaker Memorial Award Recipient, David C. Miller, who received the award for his article “Armand-Gaston Camus: Catholic Scholar, Revolutionary, and Founder of the National Archives of France.” The article appeared in the December 2019 issue of Catholic Library World (Vol. 90, No. 2) and was judged by the Catholic Library World Editorial Committee to be precise, free of ambiguity, economical in expression, original and stimulating, and considerate of the audience.

Thank you to all of those who joined us on October 22-23, 2020 for the 2020 CLA Fall Virtual Conference.
