Prayer for Librarians

Lord, You are infinite and with Your infinity You are the Word. Help us then as keepers and custodians of words, to be aware of our profession in all its depths of knowledge and wisdom, and in all its encompassing of the past, present and in what is yet to be. Let us gladly see in You, the Incarnate Word, what has been and is possible so that we may bring into the lives of others beautiful words, inspiring words, teaching words, and words of joy, comfort, knowledge and beauty. We ask this, as we ask all things, through You, O Word of God. Amen.
