Academic Libraries, Archives, and Library Education Section

This section is actively involved in activities pertaining to academic, archival and seminary libraries and in programs of library education.  It assists in the identification and promotion of projects which will contribute to Catholic library work in academic libraries and in the area of education for librarianship, special collections and preservation.  To achieve these goals, it:

–        Offers personal contact by mail, phone and e-mail with other members who answer specific questions, offer advice and support

–        Presents outstanding Convention programs of interest to academic and seminary librarians and archivists

–        Publishes a newsletter for members

–        Honors outstanding theologians with annual Jerome Award
