2023 Aggiornamento Award Winner - Marian Press

Our Aggiornamento Award recipient this year is Marian Press of Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.

Since 1945, Marian Press, the publishing apostolate of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary (founded in Poland by St. Stanislaus Papczynski in 1670, and today serving in 18 countries), has published and distributed millions of religious books, magazines, brochures, and pamphlets that teach, encourage, and edify Catholics around the world. As Marian Press publications promote the ministry and work of the Marians, they seek to have a lasting impact on the life, devotion, and doctrinal development of the Catholic Church.

Based on Eden Hill in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, Marian Press is best known as the exclusive publisher of the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska and the leading authority of the Divine Mercy message and devotion. In addition to the Diary, Marian Press bestsellers in recent years have included spiritual classics Consecration to Saint Joseph by Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC (2019) and Understanding Divine Mercy by Fr. Chris Alar, MIC (2021); After Suicide: There's Hope for Them and for You by Fr. Chris Alar, MIC and Fr. Jason Lewis, MIC (2019), which introduced a whole new depth and dimension to the ancient work of mercy of praying for the dead, rooting it firmly in the writings of saints and orthodox theologians; and 33 Days to Morning Glory by Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC (2012), which helped launch a renewal of Marian Consecration across the world, spawned many imitators, and helped encourage a renewed interest in St. Louis de Montfort’s own writings.

Dr. Joe McAleer is the Editorial Director of Marian Press.
