Objectives
The Academic Libraries, Archives, and Library Education Section of the Catholic Library Association is dedicated to supporting and advancing the mission of academic librarians, archivists, and educators. This section advocates for the professional development and interests of librarians who contribute to learning environments, emphasizing excellence in service, scholarship, and ethics. Each year, the section sponsors the Jerome Award, given “in recognition of outstanding contribution and commitment to excellence in scholarship.”

Objectives
The objectives of the Children and High School/Young Adult Library Services Section shall be the active participation and scholarly interest in the enterprises undertaken by the Catholic Library Association, especially those pertaining to children's and young adult libraries, both school and public; the promotion of communication and mutual support among children's and high school librarians; and the enhancement of library service to children and young adults through education, cooperation, and the exchange of ideas.
The Children and High School/Young Adult Section actively sponsors two awards, the Regina Medal (children) and the St. Katharine Drexel Award (high school/young adult).

The Parish and Community Library Services Section of the Catholic Library Association is committed to supporting librarians and library services within parish and community settings, aggregating resources that strengthen faith formation and community engagement. This section advocates for the unique needs of librarians working in church or parish libraries, helping them serve their communities with resources that enrich Catholic life and learning. The section also sponsors the Aggiornamento Award, recognizing individuals or organizations who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of Catholic parish and community libraries.
